However, things were completely different in the second innings of Sri Lanka and 4th innings of the match as the Sri Lanka captain fought back strong against the Indian bowling unit, which consists of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja.

Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne led his team from the front while chasing a huge target of 447 runs on a tricky Bengaluru surface. He reached his half-century off 92 balls, including six fours. Also, he didn’t stop there as he went on to complete his remarkable century in the 55th over by smashing a boundary to Jasprit Bumrah. He scored 103* off 166 balls including 14 fours and after the century he was batting cautiously against the Indian bowling unit.
