There is no denying the possibility Kohli is also India’s most valuable celebrity. According to a study by a global advisory firm, Duff and Phelps, he is leading the charts of the brand valuation for the third consecutive year as his value rose by an impressive 39 percent to $237.5 million in 2019.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas is the second most followed Indian on Instagram with the tally of 49.9 million followers. Deepika Padukone comes third in the list with 44.1 followers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is followed by more than 34.5 million users on the picture-sharing website. Overall, star footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo has the maximum number of followers on Instagram as he enjoys the fan base of more than 200 million and is followed by musician Ariana Grande with 175 million followers.

Kohli is currently leading Team India in New Zealand where the two teams — after competing in five T20Is and three ODIs — will now face each other in the two-Test series beginning Friday.

Virat is currently leading the Indian side in New Zealand. After India whitewashed the hosts in the 5-match T20I series, New Zealand hit back by claiming the 3-match ODI series 3-0. The action now be shifting to Test cricket and Team India, which is ranked number 1 in this format, will look to kickstart their overseas campaign in the World Test Championship in a positive way.

India’s ruthlessness in the longest format is primarily because of the consistency in selection and in players understanding their roles and stepping up to perform. However, the team has suffered a bunch of injuries and this complicates things for them ahead of the first Test.
