There is no denying the act that former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has often been termed a superstar of Indian cricket. Kohli’s stardom is not only confirmed in India but transcends around the world. He has fans who are willing to leave no stone unturned just for something as trivial as getting a selfie clicked. Earlier this year, during the Bengaluru Test between India and Sri Lanka, a fan gatecrashed security and ran on to the ground to get a picture clicked with Kohli.
Ahead of the Asia Cup 2022 which is scheduled to be commencing on Saturday and the blockbuster clash between India and Pakistan clash on Sunday, fans have flocked to the ICC Academy ground, where the teams are practicing.
India had their first practice session on Wednesday, after which a beautiful gesture from Virat Kohli is now becoming the talk of the town. As Kohli was walking back to the team bus, a fan came rushing toward him. The fan, who claimed to be from Lahore, was stopped by a couple of security guards, who wanted to get a picture clicked from Kohli.
Initially, Virat Kohli kept walking and the security did not allow the fan to roam anywhere near the former India captain. After the fan screamed at the stalwart and told him that he has come all the way from Pakistan only to get a picture clicked with him, Virat decided to come back and clicked a selfie. The fan, who goes by the name Mohammad Jibran, and who considers Kohli his favorite player later said that it is a moment he will never forget. The video was shared by PakTV on their YouTube channel.
Here is the video of the incident:
The fan during a chat with PakTV said, “I am not a fan of anyone but Virat Kohli, for whom I have come from Pakistan hoping to get a picture clicked with him. I waited for an entire month for this so the moment he finished his practice and was about to go back to his hotel, I tried a lot. He is an amazing person besides being a fabulous cricketer. He listened to me and agreed to my request of getting the selfie clicked.”
Some die-hard fans have also managed to speak to their favorite players in person and another such lucky admirer is Noor, a specially-abled girl from Karachi, Pakistan. Sh arrived at the stadium where the Indian and Pakistan players were training. Accompanied by her mother and elder sister, she met the players of her country. However, she was eagerly waiting outside the stadium for almost three hours just to meet ace Indian batter, Virat Kohli.
In a video shared by YouTube channel called Paktv.tv, Virat Kohli could be seen meeting Noor and her family. Speaking with the channel, the fan girl said what did she converse with the Indian cricketer. “He asked me how am I and spoke to me elegantly,” said Noor to Paktv.tv.
