Indian cricket star Virat Kohli continues to capture attention both on and off the field. Recently, he achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the first Indian to amass 250 million followers on Instagram. Kohli, along with his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, is currently making waves on social media due to a viral video from a promotional event that has generated widespread interest.

The power couple appeared in Puma’s ‘Let there be sports’ campaign last month, where they interacted with fans and participated in various games. Videos capturing their moments at the event have become a sensation on social media, with fans eagerly sharing and resharing them.

One particular video shows Anushka playfully teasing Virat by mimicking his on-field celebrations, much to the amusement of the audience. She jokingly remarks that sometimes he celebrates the fall of a wicket more passionately than the bowler. Anushka also pokes fun at Virat for his golden duck on April 23, 2023, during the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Bangalore.

“Aaj 24th April hai, aaj toh run bana le Kohli (Today April 24, at least score runs today, Kohli),” Anushka says in the video. After a laugh riot, Kohli gave the perfect reply to Anushka that got the crowd going.

Interestingly, Virat Kohli faced the disappointment of three consecutive golden ducks in his past three games for RCB on April 23. He was dismissed on the first ball by Nathan Coulter-Nile of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2017, and last year, the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) Marco Jansen sent him back to the pavilion without scoring.

Despite a couple of setbacks in the current IPL season, Kohli has exhibited outstanding form in T20 cricket over the past few months. He amassed an impressive 639 runs in 14 innings, boasting an average of 53 and a strike rate of 140. Kohli concluded the season as the third-highest run-scorer in the league and the second-highest run-scorer for RCB, trailing his opening partner Faf du Plessis.

Although Virat Kohli performed exceptionally well this season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) failed to secure a playoff spot. With seven wins and seven losses in fourteen matches, they finished sixth on the points table with fourteen points. Kohli has now shifted his focus to the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and Australia, which is scheduled to take place at the Oval in London on June 7.
