Former RCB skipper, Virat Kohli, and the South African veteran AB de Villiers have been known for sharing a great camaraderie with each other. The RCB fans yet again got a glimpse of this bond between the two stalwarts as Virat Kohli reacted to the fans’ chants of “ABD! ABD!”. India is currently hosting Sri Lanka in eh final game of the two-match Test series at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and that’s where the incident happened.

The incident took place in the 2nd innings when the Indian side was fielding. Virat Kohli was standing at the slips alongside skipper, Rohit Sharma when the fans started chanting the name of AB de Villiers. Virat was seen indicating towards the crowd that he is hearing what they were chanting.

And very soon Virat Kohli played a shadow 360° shot alike AB de Villiers. He played the iconic switch hit and the crowd went berserk. AB de Villiers has already announced his retirement from all cricket but the friendship the duo had developed at RCB still remains intact as it is evident from the incident.

According to the reports, RCB will be appointing de Villiers as the mentor which means both Kohli and ABD will be expected to be seen together in the RCB camp in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. However, a lot of things have changed in the Bangalore side as Kohli has stepped down as the captain. He will only play as a specialist batsman from the upcoming season.
