In terms of the match itself, Punjab Kings posted a competitive total of 176 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs after RCB captain Faf du Plessis elected to bowl first. Leading from the front, skipper Shikhar Dhawan anchored the innings with a crucial 45 runs. Contributions from Prabhsimran Singh, Sam Curran, Jitesh Sharma, and Shashank Singh further bolstered the Kings’ total.
