Earlier, RCB won the match against SRH owing to a brilliant spell of Yuzvendra Chahal, but the team has looked far from convincing till now. While, the batsmen have failed to score runs, bowlers apart from Chahal haven’t looked in complete control. Fielding issues have also haunted RCB.

Team pacers Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, and Dale Steyn have been leaking runs at crucial junctures. Aaron Finch has joined the franchise this year to strengthen their top-order but he hasn’t been able to do much for the franchise. The pressure keeps on building on RCB season after season because of their surprising title-less drought in the IPL.

After the KXIP loss, Virat Kohli said, “You don’t want to beat yourself down too much. You have prepared well, practised well, so trust the process and as a team, you just have a stick together. You take a win together and take a loss together and move ahead and look forward to the next game.”

He further added, “A couple of important chances against a set-batter, 35-40 runs against a set batter makes a big difference. I know these things look small, but I would like to take my example tonight and make all of us understand and myself how important these things can be when we’re looking to push forward as a team. It doesn’t help when we drop a guy who is set, twice in 2 overs.”
