Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are currently locking horns with each other in the sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL). David Warner didn’t hesitate to bowl first after winning the toss while Virat Kohli wasn’t too unhappy to bat first on a relatively slow pitch.
Accordingly, the RCB skipper opened the innings alongside Devdutt Padikkal and played a few gorgeous strokes to leave the fans awestruck like he always does. At one stage, it looked like Virat is ready to play a huge knock, but as the spinners were introduced into the attack, run-scoring became tough. The likes of Shahbaz Nadeem and Rashid Khan bowled some miserly overs.

Virat Kohli’s strike rate also came down significantly and in the 13th over, he eventually perished after top-edging the ball off Jason Holder. It was a delivery on the leg-side which the 32-year-old looked to maneuver in the gap, but ended up closing the face of the bat sooner than expected to top edge only for Vijay Shankar to pouch it safely.

Understandably, Virat Kohli was unhappy with himself for failing to play a longer knock on a slow pitch. While he controlled himself on the field, but as soon as he crossed the boundary line, his anger was quite visible. The RCB captain hit at the chair with his bat after reaching his dug-out and soon the video went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, SRH spinners were at their best using the pitch and despite Shahbaz Nadeem conceding 22 runs in the final over of his spell, he did a decent job. Rashid Khan, on the other hand, was at his best sending back AB de Villiers and Washington Sundar ending with the magical figures of 2/18 in his four overs.
Here is how fans reacted to Kohli’s frustration:

Virat Kohli against MI – 33 off 29 with 4 boundaries.
Virat Kohli against SRH – 33 off 29 with 4 boundaries.
Getting out cheaply isn't a concern. But failing to get that big score after getting a start will hurt the #RCB skipper.
