The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is arguably one of the hardest working athletes in the world and even when he isn’t preparing for a series, he has been known to focus on maintaining his fitness standard to the best. Recently, in order to take his fitness one notch further, Virat turned himself into a vegan which also proves the old saying that a genius is made up of 1% inspiration and 99% hard work.

Recently, the Indian skipper also shared a pair of pictures of himself on Instagram and it was instantly evident just how much work he’s had to put in to transform himself into the athlete he has become today.

Kohli’s Instagram Post read, “With focus and hard work, anything is possible. Keep working, keep believing. Have a super day everyone.”

Kohli’s transformation has been remarkable. Not only is he in great shape and prime fitness physically, but the diet also seems to have helped him mentally. As per the reports in Times of India, “Kohli started this diet four months back and is feeling stronger as his digestive power has increased. He isn’t missing meat, eggs or dairy.”

Virat Kohli’s diet has had a calming influence on his personality and temperament – the results of which can be seen on the cricket field – both in his batting and in his leadership.

Virat Kohli recently led Team India to their 10th consecutive Test series win at home as they sealed a 2-0 series win over the West Indies on Sunday. Ahead of the Test series, he had been the standout batsman during India’s tour of England, scoring 593 runs in five Tests at an average of 59.30. However, his fine form could not prevent India succumbing to a 4-1 series loss.

In November last year, Virat had revealed his workout and diet plan in a chat show ‘Breakfast with Champions’. He recently became the first Indian captain to complete 1000 runs in Test cricket three years in a row when he struck his 24th hundred, against West Indies in Rajkot earlier this week.
