After years of heartbreak at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally ended their Chennai drought with a resounding 50-run win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025. This was RCB’s first victory at the venue since 2008, making it a historic moment for the franchise and its fans.

However, the real celebration took place off the field. Virat Kohli led the post-match festivities in the dressing room, dancing to Humankind’s ‘Run It Up’ alongside his ecstatic teammates. The video, shared by RCB’s official Instagram handle, featured Kohli, Phil Salt, and Liam Livingstone enjoying the victory, much to the delight of fans.

On the field, RCB’s batting unit put up a competitive 196/7 after being asked to bat first. Rajat Patidar’s well-compiled fifty set the tone, while Phil Salt provided an explosive start. Tim David’s late fireworks ensured RCB had a strong total despite Kohli’s subdued knock of 31 off 30 balls.

Defending the total, RCB’s bowlers delivered a clinical performance. Josh Hazlewood was the wrecker-in-chief early on, removing CSK’s key batters, Rahul Tripathi and Ruturaj Gaikwad, in the second over. Yash Dayal and Liam Livingstone further tightened the screws, picking up two wickets each as CSK crumbled to 146/8.
