Two teams which looked very hopeful before the season began, have proved out to be hopeless by the end of it. Royal Challengers Bangalore looked promising at one stage when they needed to win every match but then conceded matches against CSK and SRH and now are almost out of the race. Delhi also with their loss against SRH now find themselves out of the playoffs race. The teams will be playing for pride tonight.

However, RCB’s hopes of winning this match against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium tonight have received a major setback. Superstar of the team, Virat Kohli may miss out on this encounter owing to illness. Royal Challengers will take on Delhi Daredevils in Match 45.

This match will be important for RCB who need to win all their remaining matches to keep thin hopes of making the playoffs alive even as Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders are contenders to take the fourth and final spot. With three wins from 10 matches, another loss will end RCB ‘s mathematical hope too.

For the youthful Delhi Daredevils, there is nothing to play for as far as the playoffs are concerned but they would be playing for pride in their remaining three home matches.
