Indian skipper Virat Kohli may get rest after the first two test matches against Sri Lanka. Kohli expressed his eagerness for some rest and he was supposed to be rested for the T20I leg of New Zealand tour. But, he will feature in that series and can miss the last leg of Sri Lanka series.
The selection committee of BCCI announced the squads for New Zealand T20Is and Sri Lanka Test series. However, they picked team for first two Test matches and Kohli has named captain of both squads. But, this comes as a hint that Indian captain may get some much needed rest before the big overseas tours, which will commence with South Africa.
Looks like Kohli's request for a month off will be accepted. Team picked for two tests only. Will probably miss 3rd test & limited overs leg

Also, there are rumors that Kohli may get married in this November with Anushka Sharma, which led him to ask for a month leave.
India will kick off Sri Lanka series with Kolkata Test on November 16, which will be followed with Nagpur Test. After these two matches, Kohli can miss the final Test along with the limited-over series.
The 28-year-old is playing international cricket regularly since last four or five years. He rarely missed any international match or series. Last such instant came earlier this year during Australia Test series, when he got injured and missed Dharamashala Test before sitting out from first three IPL matches. Other than that, he missed one Zimbabwe tour in 2016.
