The Indian power couple, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of the couples who are highly followed and respected all over. They have a huge fan base and there is no denying the fact that both of them had initially crossed paths while shooting for a television commercial. However, recently the India skipper Virat Kohli shared the details of the vibe he witnessed when he met the actress for the first time.
In an interview with fellow cricketer Dinesh Karthik, Virat Kohli asserted that it was a joke that really eased things off between them. The duo met each other on the sets of a commercial shoot and Virat recalled that his habit of joking around everyone made him start the conversation on a decent note with Anushka as well and pointed that it broke the ice as it helped them to connect.
Talking to Karthik on Sky Sports, Virat Kohli said, “I joke around with everyone. I started joking around with her as well. She said, ‘It was the first time I saw someone around me joking about the things I have experienced as a child.’ So, that really connected.”

The interview was taken ahead of the first Test between England and India and the Indian skipper has shared quite a few details of his personal life during the interaction. Dinesh Karthik took it to Twitter to express his feelings on interacting with Kohli. He wrote: “What a week it has been! Spoke to the superstar of world cricket about fatherhood, his love life, spirituality, social media, and leadership, and of course Team INDIA. Coming soon!”

Speaking on the talk show ‘In Depth’ With Graham Bensinger in 2019, Virat Kohli had revealed he was nervous during their first meet and that made him crack a joke. Opening up further he said, “Didn’t you get a higher pair of heels?” Recalling the encounter, Virat added: “Then she was like ‘excuse me’ and then I was like ‘no, I am just joking’. My joke became such a weird moment. I was such a fool, to be honest, but she was so confident.”

The couple had recently spent some quality time with each other in England as Anushka has traveled along with their daughter for the series. Both of them have been posting pictures of their outings and regularly giving sneak peeks of the same to their followers and friends.
