Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is gradually growing up as a dominating leader in every on-field conditions. But when it comes to the off-field life decision, Kohli claims that his wife Anushka Sharma takes the leadership role.
In last December, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied their knot after the four-year relationship. In a recent interview, Kohli praised his wife for taking right decisions in life. Kohli also remarked her as his strength.
In a video interview, when Kohli was asked that who is the captain off the field, he replied with a smile, “She (Anushka Sharma) is, of course. She takes all the right decisions in life. She’s totally my strength and she keeps me positive all the time, and that’s what you want in a life partner so I’m very grateful.”
Kohli also said that Anushka is very passionate about the game. The Indian skipper further added that his wife understands the game and the sentiments of the players.
The 29-year-old said, “She is very passionate about the game. She understands the game and she can understand the sentiments of all the players, what they go through and stuff, which I think is the most beautiful thing.”
Anushka is regularly seemed to cheer up the Indian cricket team or the Virat Kohli-leading IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
However, RCB had a disappointing season in IPL 2018 under Kohli’s captaincy. While Kohli performed superbly with the bat, his most of team-mates were inconsistent on the field.
RCB had a very poor start in this season as they had won only two games out of their first seven games. Later, they made a superb comeback as they had won four games out of their last seven games but just failed to qualify for the playoffs. They finished at the sixth position in the points table with 12 points.
In their last game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Jaipur, a victory could open their spot for the playoffs but they failed to win that as they suffered a 30-run defeat.
