Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli has revealed the truth of the recent viral video of ‘ViratBeardInsurance’. Recently, a video went on viral where it was seen that two men were taking several pictures on Virat Kohli’s beard in different angles. In that video, Kohli also signed some papers at the end.

Indian cricketer KL Rahul shared that video on his twitter account and wrote, “Haha, I knew you were obsessed with your beard @imVkohli but this news of you getting your beard insured confirms my theory”.

On next day, Kohli tweeted, “The talk around my beard is quite entertaining. @klrahul11, @buntysajdeh, @yuzi_chahal, @y_umesh it’s popcorn time boys #ViratBeardInsurance”.

Soon, Kohli revealed the real story by posting a video on his social media account and wrote on it, “All said and done, I think this has gone a little too far now. It’s time I address this personally. #LoveItTrimIt @PhilipsIndia @PhilipsMenIn”.

In that video, Kohli said, “In the past couple of days, a lot has been said about my beard. Suddenly the nation wants to know everything – so why not hear it from me?”

The 29-year-old revealed then, “Yes, Insurance toh karayi hain, lekin gaari ki, daadhi ki nehi (Yes, I have done insurance, not for beard but for car).”

In that video, Kohli introduced the secret of his beard’s beauty and that is the ‘New Phillips Trimmer’.

It means that the earlier video was a prank by Phillips and Virat for their ad campaign of ‘New Advanced Phillips Trimmer’.

Indian cricket team will kick-off their new international cricket season with the one-off home Test match against Afghanistan at Bengaluru, starting from this Thursday (June 14). It will be a historic Test match as Afghanistan will make a debut in the Test format as the 12th Test team.

However, Kohli has taken rest from that game as Ajinkya Rahane will lead the Indian cricket team in that historic Test match.
