Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli has ventured into a new domain by co-owning the Blue Rising Team, a participant in the inaugural season of the UIM E1 World Championship. Alongside Adi K Mishra, the CEO of League Sports Co. (LSC), Kohli is set to make waves in the world of electric boat racing.
The UIM E1 World Championship marks the world’s first all-electric race boat competition, authorized by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the global governing body for powerboating events. This championship is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing an engaging and competitive on-water racing platform built on electric technologies, with a focus on safeguarding and rejuvenating urban waters and coastal ecosystems.
Virat Kohli shared his excitement about this new venture, emphasizing his desire to inspire a competitive spirit and raise awareness about sustainability issues.
