In the midst of their rigorous training, Virat Kohli took some time to engage in a conversation with local cricketers who have been assisting the Indian players during their net sessions. The BCCI shared a video on Saturday, capturing Kohli sharing valuable insights with the young net bowlers.

Virat Kohli’s words of wisdom included, “Eight times out of 10, your mental strength will put you through. Because you are doing those 0.1-0.2 percent things that others are not doing because they are not aware. If you are aware of those things, you will get to know that 0.1-0.2 percent things make the difference. All of them are out there to play cricket. So why do certain people do better than others… due to those little things.”

Virat Kohli’s motivational talk highlighted the importance of the mental aspect of the game and the small details that can make a significant difference in performance. In a heartwarming video shared by the BCCI’s official handle on Twitter, former Indian captain Virat Kohli imparted valuable cricketing tips to young Sri Lankan cricketers during a practice session. Kohli emphasized the significance of getting the small details right in the game. 

 

The Sri Lankan players were deeply impressed by Kohli’s insights and expressed their commitment to applying these learnings in their cricketing journey. To conclude the heartwarming interaction, the young cricketers presented Virat Kohli with a silver bat as a token of their appreciation.

As the Indian cricket team intensifies its preparations for the high-voltage clash against Pakistan, KL Rahul rejoined the team after regaining full fitness. Following a day of batting in the indoor nets, Rahul took up wicketkeeping duties on Friday evening, a move that could enhance his chances of making it into India’s playing XI.

Rahul’s wicketkeeping drills began with him standing up to the stumps while two support staff members took on the roles of batter and bowler, simulating situations where he had to keep to spinners.
