Over the years, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have been the two pillars of Indian cricket and there is no denying the fact that they are teh best of mates on and off the cricket field as their camaraderie si hidden to none and fans eagerly wait for such moments, especially after Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket. Another such moment took place Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match 35 of IPL 2021.
Ahead of the game, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli seemed to have a very long discussion as the toss was delayed due to a passing sandstorm in Sharjah. Chennai Super Kings won the toss in the first match at the venue for teh season and asked RCB to bat first. Their opponents began the first innings on a high as Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli smashed half-centuries to stitch a century opening stand.

However, the RCB batsmen failed to carry forward the momentum as they plummeted to 156/6 in their 20 overs. Coming to the chase, CSK cruised to the target with 6 wickets and 11 balls to spare as they climbed to the top of the IPL 2021 points table. After the match, another heart-warming moment arose between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli when the RCB skipper hugged the CSK skipper from behind as they were waiting for the post-match presentation.

Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni has been appointed as the mentor of Team India ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
