Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 54th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Former skipper, Virat Kohli has been witnessing a forgettable outing in this season so far and it continued in this match as well as he suffered another golden duck. It was the third golden duck for him in this season and the second one against SRH.

Earlier in the game, RCB skipper, Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bat first citing the hot and humid conditions which are expected to assist slow bowlers later in the game. While RCB made no change in their playing XI, SRH made a couple of changes as J Suchith came in for Shreyas Gopal, Fazalhaq Farooqi came in for Sean Abbott.

As expected Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli came out to open the innings for RCB, but the latter failed to survive the first delivery match as well. Suchith was bowling the first ball for the SRH, and he inflicted another first-ball duck for Virat Kohli. It was gentle, innocuous delivery, fuller on the pads. Kohli chipped it on the leg side but failed to keep the ball down and Williamson made no mistake in taking the catch at short midwicket.
