The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has surpassed the nation’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in a list of top influencers compiled by global data collection and analysis platform, Hype Auditor. Kohli has managed to attain the authentic engagement of 2.4 million, is ranked 12th on the list, which has been led by the infamous Juventus footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. PM Modi is up three places, occupying the 20th spot.

Barcelona forward Leo Messi is standing at 4th place on the list, is the second best-ranked athlete in the list of 1,000 Instagram influencers worldwide. PSG’s Brazilian footballer Neymar follows the Indian skipper at the 13th position.

Virat Kohli’s wife and actor Anushka Sharma is the third-best ranked Indian on the list. The soon-to-be-mother is currently standing at the 26th position, 23 places ahead of Deepika Padukone, who is sitting in the 49th position.

Earlier on Monday, Virat Kohli had also surpassed MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma in the list of most-talked-about male athletes in the country while wrestler Geeta Phogat has also been taken the lead ahead of badminton stars PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal on the women’s list.
