The fiery Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah smashed a six on the last ball of the innings against Australia at the PCA stadium in Mohali. His shot gave the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli as much joy as a Shikhar Dhawan’s century earlier in the innings in the fourth ODI of the five-match series.
Kohli was so elated that he stood up from his seat in the dressing room and jumped with delight while applauding India’s No. 11 batsman who had sent Australia’s lethal fast bowler Pat Cummins for a huge six over long-on, on the final ball of the Indian innings.
The entire dressing room enjoyed Bumrah’s clean hit, even when the ball sailed over the boundary rope, Bumrah himself was standing in disbelief at the middle. The tail-ender certainly enjoyed the shot as he was seen smiling after helping raise quite a few eyebrows and celebrated it with Kuldeep Yadav at the other end.

Bumrah had walked into the middle to take the strike in the final ball of the Indian innings following the dismissal of Yuzvendra Chahal. Cummins, who had just picked up his fifth wicket of the day, steamed in and bowled a fuller-length delivery that was dispatched with disdain.

Notably, it was Bumrah’s first six for India and his fourth in List-A cricket. This was also only the second time in India cricket history that a No. 11 batsman had hit a six in the final ball of the innings in ODIs. Former pacer Venkatesh Prasad had done so against Australia in 2000.
Earlier in the day, Shikhar Dhawan notched up his highest ODI score of 143 off just 115 balls and had stitched a 193-run opening stand with Rohit Sharma, who was dismissed for 95. Dhawan silenced his critics and hit peak form as his knock of 143 off 115 balls had 18 boundaries and three sixes.
Here is how Twitterati reacted to Bumrah’s six:

We've told you Bumrah is exceptional at the death!
This time, he's smoked Pat Cummins out of the park off the final ball. Virat Kohli's reaction in the dressing room is what all of us are right now 😋😋😋#CricketMeriJaan #INDvAUS

That last six from Bumrah had everyone in splits. Even on an excellent batting surface, 358 is a formidable score.

Bumrah is the best bet in death overs, in both the innings.
