Indian batter Virat Kohli was caught on camera jokingly pretending to hit Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews with the bat during the 33rd match of the ongoing ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. The incident took place in the 10th over of India’s innings, with Kohli and Shubman Gill at the crease. Kohli had just completed a run at the non-striker’s end when he turned to face Mathews and mimicked the action of swinging his bat towards him.

Mathews, who was fielding at mid-off, smiled and shook his head in response.
