Virat Kohli Thanks Fans After Completing 100 Million Instagram Followers

The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli Wednesday took to Instagram to thank his fans as he had earlier surpassed the tally of as many as 100 million followers on the social media platform on Monday. Kohli shared a video highlighting some of his favorite posts on Instagram that also marked important landmarks in his life.

The video begins with the words “milestone achieved together”. Captioning the video on Instagram, Virat Kohli wrote: “You have made this journey beautiful. Feeling blessed and grateful for all the love. Thank you 100 million #instafam”.

The video shows a childhood picture, a photo from his wedding day, and one with his mother. It also focuses on a gym photo, one with the Indian Test squad and a picture with the famous 87-year-old fan who Kohli met during the 2019 World Cup followed by him receiving the Khel Ratna from President Ram Nath Kovind and finishes off with a picture of him in a stadium, celebrating in front of fans.

Kohli into an elite club that features football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Neymar, among other celebrities. After Kohli, actor Priyanka Chopra is the most followed Indian on Instagram with over 60 million followers. Apart from Instagram, Kohli has been enjoying a humongous fan following on other social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.

As of now, Virat has 40.8 million followers on Twitter, while has over 36 million likes on Facebook.

Portugal and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed individual on Instagram with over 266 million followers. He is followed by famous singer Ariana Grande who has 224 million followers, while retired WWE superstar Dwayne Johnson is third on the list with 220 million followers.
