Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli is preparing for the upcoming two-match Test series against West Indies. The Indian cricket team has arrived in Barbados, and the players have begun their net sessions to gear up for the series after a month-long break following the World Test Championship Final.
Following a disappointing performance against Australia in the WTC Final, Kohli, and the Indian players are facing scrutiny. Many cricket critics have suggested that the Asian giants need to change their approach to red-ball cricket. Recent videos from India’s training sessions indicate that Kohli has decided to adopt a more attacking style in Test cricket.
Known for his classical cricket shots, Kohli has seldom relied on unorthodox strokes to score runs in any format. However, in the practice sessions leading up to the West Indies Test, Kohli can be seen playing the reverse-sweep shot against Ravichandran Ashwin.

Earlier this year, during the Indian Premier League, Kohli emphasized his focus on not throwing his wicket away by playing extravagant shots. He stated, “I’ve never been a guy who tries so many fancy shots because we have to play 12 months of the year. For me, it’s not about playing fancy shots and throwing my wicket away.”
