Notably, Virat Kohli hasn’t made significant contributions in the ongoing series as he has returned scores of 12, 44, 20, 22, and 13 respectively across the three Test matches. Despite this, the batter seems upbeat and never misses a chance to enjoy himself while in the middle of the field.

However, their wait for a place in the finals continues following a loss in the third Test courtesy of a dominant performance put up by the Aussies. On the other hand, Australia has already qualified to the final of WTC and is on the cusp of playing either India or Sri Lanka at the Oval in London.

Notably, the Lankan Lions will need to secure a series sweep in the Two Test matches against the BlackCaps to confirm their berth in the WTC Final. Any result apart from two wins against the New Zealand side will see India sail through to the finals. In any case, Rohit Sharma and Co. will be eyeing a win in the final red-ball clash against the Aussies and not depend on Sri Lanka’s result to stamp their ticket to the WTC final.
