On Thursday, a heartwarming video surfaced showing Kohli and Rohit interacting with a Pakistani fan outside the Indian team’s hotel. The fan, identified as Sahil from Karachi, managed to get autographs from both Indian superstars. Kohli, known for his humility and warmth, signed an RCB jersey and an India team shirt, while Rohit, already seated inside the team bus, stepped out to fulfil the fan’s request.

“It was lovely meeting Kohli. I’ve met him before as well. He’s very humble. I had just asked him once,” said Sahil in a video shared by RevSportz. “Same for Rohit — he was sitting on the bus, and I just signaled him for an autograph. He came out and signed it… that means a lot,” he added.

Both players will undergo a short acclimatisation period before the ODI series kicks off on October 19. The tour includes three ODIs followed by five T20Is, setting up a high-octane clash between two cricketing powerhouses.

With Shubman Gill leading the ODI side, this series serves as a crucial phase for India to test their bench strength while integrating their senior players back into the setup. The return of Kohli and Rohit has reignited fan excitement, especially with both looking in fine rhythm during the practice sessions.

India’s white-ball tour begins with the ODI opener on October 19 in Perth, followed by matches in Adelaide (October 23) and Sydney (October 25). The five-match T20I series will start on October 29, promising another thrilling India-Australia contest.

The last time India toured Australia for an ODI series was in 2020-21, when they lost 2-1 but bounced back to claim the T20I series 2-1 — a memory the Men in Blue will look to recreate.
