A young fan was left heartbroken after failing to get Virat Kohli’s attention for an autograph, with a video of the emotional moment going viral online. The child reportedly approached Kohli twice but was stopped by officials before he could make contact. Unnoticed by the RCB star, the boy eventually walked away without the autograph he had hoped for, breaking down in tears and even throwing his bat in frustration.

Kohli was in New Delhi on Monday night for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2026 clash against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. While the video’s timing could not be independently verified, the moment has drawn widespread attention because it came on a night when Kohli once again delivered on the field.
The veteran batter played a key role in RCB’s dominant nine-wicket win, finishing the chase with back-to-back sixes off T Natarajan. The result lifted Royal Challengers Bengaluru to second place on the IPL 2026 points table and underlined their growing momentum in the tournament.

RCB’s bowlers set up the victory in style, bundling out Delhi Capitals for just 75 in 16.3 overs after reducing them to 13/6 at one stage. The new-ball duo of Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck early blows, tearing through the top order and putting the hosts under massive pressure.

Chasing a modest target, RCB got off to a flying start through Kohli and Jacob Bethell, who made 20 off 11 balls. Devdutt Padikkal then anchored the chase with an unbeaten 34, while Kohli stayed not out on 23 as the defending champions completed the job in just 6.3 overs.
Kohli has now scored 351 runs in eight innings and sits fourth in the Orange Cap race, behind Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma, who leads with 380 runs. RCB next face the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on May 30.
