India and Australia are currently clashing in the 5th game of the ICC World Cup 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Australia won the toss and elected to field first. India have kept things tight with the ball and have been checking run flow as well. While bowlers have been on the top, what has caught the attention of many is Virat Kohli’s antics on the field. The batter has looked extremely passionate and dedicated.
Apart from lifting his teammates up, Virat Kohli was seen giving advice to captain Rohit Sharma. This happened when Australian batters Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne were batting well in the middle and were looking to create the platform for the big hitters.
Ahead of the 26th over, Rohit Sharma was seen taking advice from Virat Kohli. The duo were seen having a chat with Ravindra Jadeja. The talk potentially was about the field placements as the trio was looking to build pressure.

The chat between Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja seemed to work out as the spinner in the next over sent Steve Smith packing with a dream delivery. The ball drifted in towards the leg stump and then turned sharply to clip the top of the off-stump. The batter managed 46 runs off 71 balls.

Ravindra Jadeja after chatting with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma looked completely different. After removing Steve Smith with an unplayable delivery, he sent Marnus Labuschagne packing as well. The all-rounder put India on the front foot by removing two set batters.

Ravindra Jadeja bowled a delivery just outside off. Marnus Labuschagne went for a big slog-sweep and was down on his knee. The ball took the top edge and keeper KL Rahul took a sharp catch to send the batter back in the hut for 27 runs. If this was not enough he also trapped Alex Cary in LBW and removed him for duck.
Virat Kohli’s advice to Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja seemed to have paid off, as the two bowlers went on to take the wickets of three of Australia’s best batsmen. This put India in a strong position in the match, and they are now looking to capitalize on their advantage.
