Virat Kohli committed a crucial DRS on the second day of the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai. Kohli, who looked settled at the crease with 17 runs off 36 balls, seemed to have almost got out until he got trapped by a full delivery from Mehidy Hasan Miraz. The ball got Kohli’s front pad, and the umpire raised his finger.
Virat Kohli was unpersuaded and had a word with his batting partner, Shubman Gill, before deciding not to review the decision and walking back to the pavilion; his decision disappointed many. Later replays showed Kohli had edged the ball before it struck his pad, which means a DRS review would have overturned the umpire’s call.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who was watching from the dressing room, visibly exasperated at Kohli’s decision not to review, that moment became viral on social media in a matter of seconds.
It was clearly not out. This is so frustrating to see. Shubman Gill, from the non-striker’s end, should have asked Virat Kohli to take DRS. pic.twitter.com/mtnoqPuaho
