In a surprising turn of events, the participation of star Indian batter Virat Kohli in the next T20 World Cup has been thrown into doubt, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and selectors set to discuss his future in the shortest format of the game. A source close to the development revealed to Sports Tak that Kohli’s T20I future is uncertain, with no guarantee of his inclusion in the squad for the World Cup.
“As of now it looks very difficult for him to make the cut,” the source stated, adding that the management will hold discussions with Kohli before reaching a final decision.

The source further indicated that Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the team in the T20 format if he decides to play. “See we have informed Rohit that if he will play he will lead the team and you players will be there in the squad so he (Rohit) and the coach needs to take care of it,” the source explained.
