Ishant Sharma and Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has been very vocal while in the field and constantly chirping something in his teammate’s ears. Another Kohli-involving incident took place during Centurion Test, where he was talking with Ishant Sharma about the game and stump mic caught it straightaway.

Having 8 wickets down, Ishant came to bat with Virat in the middle, who was trying to nullify South Africa’s deficit and in the process, he asked Ishant whether he can play two balls or not.

Kohli gave the strike to lanky pacer on the fourth ball of a Morne Morkel over and stump mic caught his words, which were Tu 2 ball khelega isski (can you play his two balls). In reply, Ishant said Haan khel lunga (Yes, I can). Indian skipper again confirmed the same by quoting Are you sure, he replied Yes.

Captain Kohli stroked a master class 153 to lead India’s total to 307. South Africa finished the day at 90/2 with AB de Villiers and Dean Elgar in the middle.
