Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag had always created havoc in opposition bowling attacks. His highest ODI score of 219 was scored against West Indies at Holkar Stadium, Indore.
There is an amusing similarity between Sehwag’s highest ODI score and half-centuries of 3 Indian batsmen in the 3rd One Day International between India and Australia at the same venue. For starters, India beat Australia in the 3rd ODI at the Holkar Stadium, Indore to claim a 3-0 unassailable lead in the series.
The Indian batsmen Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya scored 70, 71, 78 respectively against Australia. After the match, Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to congratulate team India on their emphatic win. His post read, “Congratulations India on a wonderful series victory. Great 3 70’s from Rohit, Rahane, Hardik. Comprehensive performance throughout #INDvAUS.”
An ardent Sehwag fan found the similarity between Virender Sehwag’s 219 and the string of 70s. His tweet read: “70, 71 & 78 by Rahane, Rohit & Pandya…. Add these to get 219 which was your highest ODI score, scored in this same Indoor Holkar Stadium.”
