The excitement for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is increasing each passing day. With the auction, just a few days away, all the teams are now finalizing the players they would want to have on their teams. Amidst of this, former Indian skipper Virender Sehwag predicts IPL 2018 winner.
The IPL Governing Council earlier announced the date when the league will commence. The 11th edition of the lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to be held from April 7 to May 27. The champions of the previous edition, the Mumbai will host the first and final matches of the season in their home ground. Both these matches will take place at the iconic Wankhede Cricket Stadium in the financial capital of India.

The auctions will decide the amount of success a team will extract in the tournament. All the teams are building up their teams from the start. They would want to get some good buys at the desired price point.
Former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag tried to predict the winner of the IPL 2018. He is currently the Director of Cricket Operations for the Kings XI Punjab. In the middle of all the talks about the auction, Sehwag hit one ball for a six by trying to predict the winner.

In an exclusive interview with Cricket Next, Sehwag gave a very interesting answer when he was asked about the winner of IPL 2018. The Nawab of Nazafgarh said, “This year, I would want a franchise who has never won the tournament to lift the title. Whether it’s Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils or Royal Challengers Bangalore, one of these teams should win the title which will increase the level of competition in the tournament.”
KXIP will also have have a new home ground this season. They selected Indore as their second home ground. The Punjab franchise will play four of their home matches in Mohali while they will play the other three in Indore.
