Virender ‘Subjugating’ Sehwag

We all know what Virender Sehwag could do with the bat in hand. One of his finest innings came against Pakistan at Lahore during India’s tour of Pakistan in 2006 where he scored the then second-fastest (182 balls) double century.

In what was the third Test of the three-match test series, Inzamam-ul-Haq, the then Pakistani captain, had won the toss and chose to bat. On the back of centuries from Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Shahid Afridi and Kamran Akmal, Pakistan scored a mammoth 679-9 dec. in 143.3 overs.

Sehwag and captain Rahul Dravid stitched a 410-run partnership, the then second-best for the first wicket in Tests. Sehwag was severe on the Pakistani bowlers throughout his innings. He ended up scoring 254 (247) with the help of 47 fours and a six. Watch the full video:
