VVS Laxman Announces India’s Playing XI For ODIs In Sri Lanka

Team India will be locking horns with Sri Lanka for three ODIs and as many as T20Is scheduled to be commencing on July 13 in the Island nation. After the ICC test championship, this will be the first international series match of the Indian team. Though the result of the ICC test championship finale didn’t come in the favor of the Indian team which left the fans disappointed.

The Indian contingent which flew to Sri Lanka contains 20 players including the six uncapped ones, which were included in the absence of the senior players. Indian selectors also changed the captain for this series as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are on rest.

Twenty men squad for Sri Lankan tour: Shikhar Dhawan (capt), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (vice-capt), Prithvi Shaw, Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Nitish Rana, Ishan Kishan (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Krunal Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Chetan Sakariya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rahul Chahar, K Gowtham.

Apart from two players in the squad, some youngsters also get the chance of flying with the team India as a net bowlers. Namely, Arshdeep Singh, R Sai Kishore, Simarjeet Singh,  Ishan Porel, and Sandeep Warrier. These Indian youngsters displayed an amazing performance in the suspended 2021 IPL.

Looking at this selected Indian squad many of the former cricketers have often been seen expressing their views in front of the media. Some of them gave positive comments while others showed negativity after seeing the names of the players.

In a similar way, former Indian cricketer, VVS Laxman also selected his playing XI  for the ODIs and displayed it on social media. His playing IX is: Shikhar Dhawan (C), Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson (WK), Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal.
