Pakistan legendary pacer Wasim Akram became 52-year-old on Sunday. While it was the day 3 of the second Test between England vs Pakistan at Headingley (Leeds), former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis celebrated Akram’s birthday by cutting a cake. Later, he apologised to fans for cutting a cake during the Ramadan month.
Younis took the twitter account and posted, “Apologise to everyone for cutting cake on Waseem Bhai’s birthday yesterday..We should have respected Ramadan and the people who were fasting. It was a poor act on our behalf #SORRY”
Akram and Younis were lethal pace partners during their international career for Pakistan. Both played total 258 international matches (61 Tests and 197 ODIs) together.
Coming to the second Test between England and Pakistan, England beat Pakistan by an innings and 55 runs and drew the 2-match Test series by the 1-1 margin.
