Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar made his debut on the international stage against a Pakistan team which had Waqar Younis and was touted as the best bowling attack in the world at that time. Sachin was only just 16 years old and the Pakistani players had laughed him off stating he was a kid. Rest is history. In the career spanning 25 years, Sachin was rated as the best player ever in the history of the game and was even compared to Don Bradman.

Waqar Younis revealed that it was a challenge bowling to Sachin Tendulkar throughout his career. “I played a lot against Tendulkar, and he made his debut against us. Over the years I saw him become a thorough professional and I have not seen such a committed player. He was the best batsman I bowled to, and it used to be a challenge. I always believe that unless you are disciplined particularly in cricket sense, all your talent is of no use to your team,” he said.

Sachin Tendulkar called Pakistan as a special opponent and has always enjoyed batting against them in his long and illustrious career. In the debut game vs Pakistan he was hit on the head by a bouncer by the Pakistani bowlers and even after he started bleeding he stayed on and dispatched the next ball he faced to the boundary. The world rated him highly since then and he didn’t disappoint as he went on to finish his career as being referred as ‘God of Cricket’.
