In what came as a huge blow to India, the Australian captain, David Warner, grabbed an outstanding catch to dismiss his Sun Risers Hyderabad opening partner, Shikhar Dhawan. In an effort to up the ante, Dhawan stepped out to a Jason Behrendorff delivery, only to hit it high in the air. Warner, who was fielding at mid-off, jogged backward to complete a fantastic tumbling catch.
Having won the toss, Australia chose to field. Warner’s decision was aptly supported by Behrendorff. Playing just his second T20I, the left-arm fast bowler picked up four wickets in the powerplay.
He dismissed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in his first over, Manish Pandey in the second and Dhawan in the following over.
