Washington Sundar is fit and available for India’s upcoming three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, providing a timely boost to the team ahead of the opening game on September 13. The all-rounder’s availability comes as India continue to monitor the fitness of several key players. According to India Today, Jasprit Bumrah is yet to complete his match simulation, with just four days remaining before the series begins.

The star pacer is expected to undergo the simulation on September 9, after which the Indian Board will take a final call on his availability for the Afghanistan series. India are also awaiting fitness clearances for Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Both players have reportedly completed their fitness tests and match simulations, but the BCCI is yet to formally declare them fit. Their final fitness reports are expected on the evening of September 9.
