Renowned Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer added a touch of humor by providing a tongue-in-cheek pitch report for the Moon after the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on August 23. This lunar exploration mission marked India’s historic achievement of becoming the first country to softly land on the Moon’s South Pole, joining an elite group that includes the United States, Soviet Union, and China.
Upon sharing an image captured by the Landing Imager Camera, Jaffer humorously compared the Moon’s surface to a cricket pitch and playfully predicted his bowling lineup. In his X post, the 45-year-old proposed that the Moon’s terrain is ideal for batting and playfully suggested deploying three spinners, one genuine seamer, and an all-rounder.

“Definitely a bat first surface. I’d go with 3 spinners, one genuine seamer along with an all-rounder,” Wasim Jaffer captioned the tweet.
