Former Indian opener, Wasim Jaffer has churned out a hilarious analogy from the Bollywood movie ‘Dhamaal’ relating to the qualifying scenarios ahead of the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021. The mega event has already witnessed 37 matches and only five games are remaining before the commencement of the knockout stage. England, Australia, South Africa from Group 1 and New Zealand, India, Afghanistan from Group 2 are fighting for a place in the semis.

The English team under the captaincy of Eoin Morgan, are all, but through to the next round mostly due to their incredible net run rate of 3.183. Their final Super 12 match is against South Africa on Saturday, November 6. Pakistan, under the captaincy of Babar Azam, is the only team, who has officially qualified for the next round after winning their first four matches.

India will be playing their last league match against Namibia on Monday, November 7 at the Dubai International Cricket. While a loss would see them getting knocked out, even a victory will not be sufficient for their qualification. For India to qualify for the semis, they have to beat Namibia and also hope for Afghanistan to get past the Kiwis. They are then most likely to face the Brits, the probable table-toppers from Group 1.

Barring some miraculous occurring, one of South Africa and Australia will face Pakistan in the other semi-final. Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh, Namibia, and Scotland are already knocked out of the tournament. Meanwhile, Wasim Jaffer uploaded a picture of an iconic scene from the movie ‘Dhamaal’, to explain the semi-final scenario of the World Cup. The scene featured Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jafferi, and Ashish Chaudhary.
