On Sunday, the English-leg-spinner, Adil Rashid pulled off two brilliant fielding efforts during the 5th and the final ODI against Pakistan, as the hosts won the game by 54 runs at Headingley.

The visiting skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed pushed the ball for a single as the ball on the leg-stump, but the English wicket-keeper Jos Buttler moved quickly from behind the stumps to throw the ball to the bowler’s end where Rashid, with Babar Azam trying to regain his ground, flicked the ball towards the stumps from behind his back without looking to complete a run-out.

Later on in the game, Rashid did something special again when he dismissed Shoaib Malik with a diving left-handed catch off his own bowling. Here is the video of the same:

Joe Root and Eoin Morgan build a partnership of 117 runs in 18 overs in the first innings and the match-winning effort of Tom Curran as he scored quickfire 29 helped England to reach the total of 350. Left-arm spinner Imad Wasim was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors as he finished the game with a spell of 3/53, along with him, even Shaheen Shah Afridi took four wickets but he also gave away 82 runs.

Chris Woakes took five wickets as England bundled out Pakistan for 297 in 46.5 overs. After winning the final game, England also completed the 4-0 series win and it will boost their confidence ahead of the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 as they are entering the tournament as hot favorites. England will have to reduce their 17-man squad to 15 for the World Cup.

Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, who top-scored for his team with 97, said, “Result-wise it is not ideal for the World Cup. But the way the batsman is batting we are ready for the World Cup.”
