We often see players celebrate in different ways on the field – be it after hitting centuries, taking a catch or picking up a wicket. While Sheldon Cottrell, Imran Tahir, Shikhar Dhawan and others are famous for their celebrations on the field, one name has been added to the list. And, it is Alastair Cook, the veteran England player.
However, the experienced England batsman was seen bowling in the recent match against Kent in the ongoing County Championship Division One. While there was nothing new to see him with the ball, it was his bowling action that made headlines. Alastair Cook, however, was seen bowling with a different style that stole the limelight.

As far as the game is concerned, Nick Browne and Cook smashed centuries – 107 and 100 respectively in the first innings. Later, Matthew Critchley also smashed 132 and helped Essex put up 514 in their first innings. Meanwhile, Ben Compton scored 129 and Jordan Cox’s unbeaten century helped Kent post a total of 581 for 10, ending the third day trailing by 109 as well.

Earlier in the day, Tawanda Muyeye also scored 58 before he got out. Compton then shared a 123-run stand to keep Essex in the race as well. After Compton’s dismissal, Cox went on to end the day on 405/5 as well. However, Essex took 22 overs to score 68 runs where Alastair Cook scored 26 and helped the game end in a draw as well. Tom Westley top-scored with 32 in Essex’s second innings.
