Currently, the two-table toppers Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are locking horns with each other in the 23rd match of the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. After winning the toss, the CSK skipper, MS Dhoni asked the visitors to bat first citing the chances of a heavy dew later in the innings.

During the toss, surprisingly, both the captains revealed that they have made no changes to their respective squads. However, batting first the KKR openers disappoint as Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine were back in the pavilion in the first two overs itself.

In the first over, Deepak Chahar got the wicket of Lynn followed by Harbbhan Singh dismissing Narine in the next over. Then the inform batsmen, Robin Uthappa, and Nitish Rana were batting in the middle, but the latter failed to continue his form owing to a brilliant catch from Ambati Rayudu at the short mid-wicket on the bowling of Chahar.

On the third ball of the 3rd over, Rana played a silly shot and KKR lost their hird wicket. CHar delivered a length ball on the middle and Rana attempted a pull shot, but the ball kept low again as it skidded to the batsman who only manages to toe-end it to midwicket, where Rayudu took a good catch while diving forward.

However, KKR never managed to make a comeback after that at the start of the 10th over, they were reeling at 47/6 with Dinesh Karthi, Robin Uthappa, and Shubman Gill going back to the pavilion.
