Australia and Pakistan are currently taking on each other in the second Test in Karachi where the Pakistan captain made headlines with his stunning bowling show. He removed Alex Carey, who was batting in his 90s. However, this happened towards the end of the day’s game.
Alex Carey went down on his knee to play the slogsweep, but Babar Azam kept it straight, which got a swing and hit the stumps. A good knock came to an end as he missed the century by mere 7 runs as well. He also scored 7 fours and 2 sixes as well. Meanwhile, Pakistan posted 505 runs for 8 wickets so far where Usman Khawaja smashed a steady 160 runs which came in 369 balls with 15 boundaries a six. Even Steve Smith too scored a 214-ball 72 with 7 fours as well. For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf and Sajid Khan picked up 2 wickets each as well.
Heartbreaking! Alex Carey gone for 93 off the spin of Babar Azam.

After the day’s game, Alex Carey said: “Yea I guess (asked if he was gutted to miss out on the hundred). You want to make those triple figures. Quite an important knock for the team in the situation. We will see what the skipper does tomorrow. If we can get as many runs as possible in the first innings, hopefully the pitch will have opportunities for 20 wickets. The more runs you have now the better because it may deteriorate towards Day 4. We were able to get through reverse swing. We did see a bit of inconsistency in bounce towards the end. We are enjoying our time here. The food is good and the hospitality has been fantastic.”
