A funny incident that recently took place in a County Championship match between Yorkshire and Hampshire went viral in no time. The incident happened when the top-order batsman Nick Gubbins hit one over on from delivery of the pace bowler Keith Barker and started taking a single.
Just when he was about to reach the opposite side, he slipped while running and because of that they couldn’t take another single as well. It happened on day one of the ongoing match between the two at Lord’s. Gubbins, who would have scored a crucial fifty, hit the ball into the leg-side, with two runs that could have been easily taken. However, having run the first quite fast, Gubbins slipped suddenly while trying to take the second one as well.

However, Barker gave him his hand to offer help to Gubbins, only to withdraw as the beatsman went to accept his help. And, the Grade Cricketer has shared it in the best way possible. “Alpha’s gonna alpha”, they tweeted, while sharing the video of the County Championship and the clip went viral in no time as well.
Notably, Gubbins’ knock was the only fifty from Middlesex side in the game, with Barker’s 84 in Hampshire’s first innings was the highest score of the match as well.
