England and New Zealand are going at each other at their ICC Champions Trophy encounter in Cardiff. Batting First England scored 310 before getting all out in the final over. England batting was handled by ever dependable Joe Root who scored 64, with other half-centuries from Alex Hales and Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes chipped in with 48 too.
Usually when batsman approach a milestone they tend to get wary and play safe so that they safely cross the milestone, but not Ben Stokes, who threw his wicket away scoring 48 runs.Batting on 48, Ben Stokes attempted an uppercut to send Trent Boult bouncer over third man boundary, but his attempt was thwarted by a safe and secure catch by Adam Milne.
Boult bowled a short ball at Stokes and he went back to upper cut, unfortunately for him, he didn’t hit the ball cleanly and the ball looped tamely to the third man with Adam Milne completing an easy catch.
