India’s premier fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave a huge breakthrough to the men in blue breaks through as he removes both Pakistan openers. The right arm pacer dismissed Imam-ul-Haq (2) caught behind in the second over and then scalped Fakhar Zaman for a duck.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat against India in a Group A game of the Asia Cup in Dubai on Wednesday. India made two changes in the playing XI as they brought back Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya in place of Shardul Thakur and Khaleel Ahmed. While Pakistan picked the same team which played against Hong Kong.
In the first bowl of his second over, Bhuvneshwar pitched a short of a length delivery and Imam charged down the track only to edge the bowl to MS Dhoni. It was a tight line from Bhuvi as the ball rose on Imam as he swung the ball and kissed the outside edge to head to Dhoni.

Fakhar’s dismissal also came on the first delivery of Kumar’s third over as the southpaw took the chance after all that pressure build by Jasprit Bumrah after bowling two maiden overs and he skies a top-edge to Yuzvendra Chahal at midwicket. Chahal goes a bit to his left from midwicket, the sun in his eyes and he just about holds on to it. Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma waits and then holds his hands together with a beaming smile.
Also, Imam’s wicket was Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s first ODI wicket in 35.3 overs. Before this match, Bhuvneshwar averages 48.5 and takes a wicket once every 61 balls (once in three matches) in the Powerplay since the start of 2017. Third-worst among bowlers who have bowled 500 balls or more
