The self-proclaimed Universe Boss, Chris Gayle has been the show stopper of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has entertained millions of fans all over the world with his power hitting abilities. On his day, bowlers never look forward to bowl against him. Such is the impact of the big man that he has single-handedly led his franchise to victory on numerous occasions.
Chris Gayle was off-color in the last season of the IPL which led the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to release him from the squad. The Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) picked Gayle at the last moment but he was not expected to get a game so early in the tournament. The big man had to give an apt reply to his critics and hasn’t he did that in style. He is already topping the most sixes chart and has a century under his belt.

Dean Jones, former Australian cricketer, and commentator is said to have a red book of secrets the content of which is not public. Jones had probably listed down the short ball as a weakness of Chris Gayle in his red book. The West Indian replied in the following manner: “What do you mean I can’t play the short ball? Are you kidding me!”
Hey @ProfDeano I see @henrygayle is not happy with you.! #SelectDugout @StarSportsIndia @bowlologist @Sanjog_G @MayantiLanger_B @scottbstyris @BradHogg10 @erinvholland pic.twitter.com/aCTgNbAYbs

@henrygayle how come you got my red book? And I think you are GREAT OFF THE SHORT BALL! #ohmygood 😫😫@StarSportsIndia https://t.co/5bnxm4ytQU

The red book of secrets has a twitter account in the name of “Deano jones” while is probably operated by the former cricketer. Gayle clearly did not agree with Jones’ remark and was quick to come up with one of his own.
The big man needs to be in top form for the remainder of the games as well for his team to make it to the playoffs. The Kings XI Punjab are currently on top of the table with eight points and Ravichandran Ashwin must be mighty pleased with their performance so far.
