Currently, the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are locking horns with each other at the PCA’s IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. After winning the toss, the home skipper, Ravichandran Ashwin decided to bowl first and his bowlers didn’t disappoint as well, as they got the crucial wicket of Jonny Bairstow in the second over of the match itself.

On the other hand, KXIP made a couple of changes to their playing XI Murugan Ashwin and Andrew Tye made way for Ankit Rajpoot and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The change yielded benefits when Mujeeb dismissed Bairstow.
After Bairstow’s dismissal, David Warner added 49 runs for the 2nd over in almost 10 overs. They played very slow as they amassed just 27 runs in the powerplay overs. KXIP bowlers were bowling some tight lines which led to Vijay’s wicket as well. After his dismissal, Mohammad Nabi joined Warner and they both added just 24 runs for the 3rd wicket. During a partnership with Shankar, Waner took a slight dig at the KXIP skipper.

The pocket-sized dynamo gave the testimony of his cheekiness as when Ashwin was into his delivery stride. Warner deliberately put his bat in the crease while his head craned back at bowler’s hand when the Punjab skipper was about to bowl. It seemed like Warner indirectly trolled Ashwin with the gesture. Not long ago, Ashwin ‘mankaded’ Buttler which became a huge controversy. Now, it seems all the non-strikers have been warned by the team management to beware of it. The SRh opener is in great form as he is the orange cap holder currently after the initial phase of the tournament.
